Our Story

HOW WE MET

We met eight years ago as students at Indiana University. We were both freshmen: I was studying journalism, and B was studying astrophysics and physics. My roommate, Sam, was going to the movie theater on campus, and she convinced me to join the group - which B happened to be in! We spent the first four years of our relationship on that quintessential college campus, and it will always have a special place in our hearts. Now we both live in Alexandria, Virginia with our dog, Chewy. I run a wedding photography business, and B works as a patent agent while attending law school at George Mason. 

THE PROPOSAL

The short version: B planned a surprise trip for us to go back to Indiana University for the weekend so he could propose at our favorite spot: the Rose Well House, where we also had our first kiss all those years ago. After I said yes, we went to Scotty's Brewhouse, our all-time favorite restaurant. When we arrived, I was completely surprised to see both of our  parents had made the long journey to celebrate with us!! Needless to say, it was the perfect day!
